Edinburgh Airport at a glance
Edinburgh Airport although International is a small intimate airport where arrivals and Departures sit side by side.The move to increase online check ins has reduced queues. It is very much a business airport so its busuiest times are first thing in the morning. Getting to and from the airport is very straightforward buses leave from outside the terminal building £3.50 single £5.00 return Taxis cost around£15.00 to the city Centre both take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.

Trains Getting to Edinburgh is straightforward direct trains from all over Scotland and England arriveand depart from the Centre of Edinburgh. Buses Edinburgh has a good public transport system which runs from early morning all through the night. Buses only accept the exact fare and if you dont have this you will be unable to travel. Day tickets are available on the buses. There are two main bus providers in Edinburgh Lotian transport and First Bus tickets between the two companies are not interchangeable. |
Tour Buses As well as many exciting things to do in Edinburgh City Centre if you wish to venture outwith the centre of town. Step on the number 22 bus which will take you to Ocean Terminal and also the home og the Royal Yacht Brittania, well worth a visit. |
